We are flexible in what we teach in all of our courses and they are suitable for beginners as well as more advanced students.
Let us know if you have any particular ideas and we will be more than happy to help.

It will be a 10 week term, spring, summer and autumn.
Suitable for all abilities. From beginners to more advanced artists.
The class will include fusing, leaded lights, stained glass painting, copper foiling. Anything you want to learn.

Evening Class

We offer people already coming to class spaces first, this means larger projects that take longer than 10 weeks can be produced.
Therefore we run on a 1 in 1 out basis.

Please be aware that stained glass construction requires some strength in hands and wrists and may not be suitable for those with arthritis or similar conditions. You will also be standing for a large portion of the class so those with back problems may also find it difficult. We also have large step to get into the studio and the toilets.

WEEKDAY GLASS WORKSHOPS
Come and be part of a working glass studio and learn to make something beautiful.
These can be run any time as long as my diary isn't full.

An introduction into leaded work.
You will complete a leaded window/hanging/mirror of you own design (300x400mm approx).The course involves learning about pattern making, glass cutting, leading and soldering.

ONE DAY GLASS FUSING COURSE
10am-4pm
£150 Plus Materials

This course involves tuition in glass cutting and pattern making.
Through the day you will learn about different types of glass, moulds and kiln firings.
You will learn to make coasters, a glass hanging, a bowl and jewellery.

ONE DAY COPPER FOILING WORKSHOP
WEEKDAYS 10am-4pm
£150 Plus Materials

A great day for an initial introduction to copper foiling.You will complete a few projects in a day. Suncatchers, a mirror, a tealight holder.
The course involves learning about pattern making, glass cutting, leading and soldering.

2 Day Stained Glass Course
2 Day Stained Glass Workshop





TWO DAY TRADITIONAL GLASS PAINTING COURSE
10am-4pm
£280 Plus Materials

On this course you will learn the basic techniques for traditional ceramic enamel painting. From equipment used, to pattern making, trace lines and shading.
An additional morning can be added if you wish to add colour using silver stain or coloured enamels.

SPECIAL GLASS PROJECTS
10am-4pm
The cost of this will depend on your project, the techniques you need to learn, and your ability. Materials will also be extra.

If you have a larger idea in traditional stained glass or fused glass, we can set up a project that runs over a series of days for you to learn and create your window or panel.
This workshop is ideal if you have a window in your home you would like to transform or a larger fused glass project to make.

General Terms & Conditions for Workshops
Location
The Purple Stained Glass Studio

Our classes take place from 10am to 4pm. This may vary depending on your ability.

Registration
We will send you an invoice for a non-refundable deposit that will be due straight away to book your course. The remaining balance will be asked for 2 weeks prior to the course date. You are welcome to re-arrange your course date up until then at no cost.
Your registration (via email, phone, or personally) is binding. You will receive a written confirmation from us with all relevant information and an invoice/payment slip.

Course administration, places and participation
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone classes. You will receive information ahead of time. We will not be liable for any associated costs incurred by you. We will reschedule, but a full refund will be given if this isn’t possible.
The places on our term ran classes are filled by students who are already attending first. This is to allow them to take on larger projects with no deadline. A waiting list is then held on a first come, first served basis for any spaces that open up.

Fees
A non-refundable deposit will be taken to secure your place on the course. The remaining fee will be asked for 2 weeks before the course runs.
The course fee does NOT include materials. You will be asked to pay for these at the end of your course. This allows free choice of all of the materials we have available. You are also welcome to bring your own materials and equipment.
Tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own, though if any breakages occur, we will not accept liability.


Cancellation
Written cancellation is required.
Date of cancellation less than 2 weeks before start date or non-attendance: a cancellation charge of 100% of the course fee is charged. We may not charge this fee in full if we can find a new participant for the place.

Liability and insurance
The Purple Stained Glass Studio accepts no liability for any damages arising during or from any courses or events organised by the company. You are therefore personally responsible for ensuring your own adequate insurance cover. Use of the glaaworks facilities is at your own risk. We cannot be held liable for theft or loss of your personal property.

Data privacy
By registering for a class, you agree that we may use your data for additional purposes (such as advertising upcoming classes or products via mail, e-mail). You can unsubscribe from our advertisement at any time.
Also, you agree that picture footage taken during class can be used on our websites, brochures and social media pages. You may send us a written withdrawal if you do not want your picture used for promotional purposes.

Video and Audio recordings
No video or audio recordings may be made in any Purple Glass premises without the express prior consent of us, the teacher and course participants.
Where consent is given for such recordings, they may only be for personal use, and explicitly are not for commercial consumption.

Travel & Accommodation
The costs for travel and accommodation are borne by the applicant. A list of accommodation in the local area will be sent to you upon request (we cannot endorse any of the establishments listed).

Reservation
For telephone/personal bookings we require a deposit before your place on the course is guaranteed.

Confirmation
You will receive written confirmation and a list of tools and equipment to bring along prior to attendance. You will also receive an invoice for any balance of your payment still due if not already paid in full. Any balance payment is payable before the start of the course.



Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
Place of performance and exclusive jurisdiction for all parties is England, UK.
